Oxford & The Cotswolds

A

s I live in this part of England and think it’s the most beautiful of all I am bound to want you to choose to come to this area first.

The Cotswolds is an area west of London with quietly rolling hills. It boasts some fantastic gardens, from the grandeur of Blenheim Palace to the romance of Rousham. Beautiful stone built villages and market towns are scattered through the hills. The River Thames winds its way down to Oxford and on to London.

The traditional pastime of Punting is one of the ‘musts ‘ to do in Oxford. I will be pleased to personally punt you on a most romantic trip through the outskirts of Oxford.

We can also visit the country seat of Lord Faringdon with a lovely example of Italian influenced garden design and a meeting with the Head Gardener.

East of Oxford are the fine grounds of one of the Rothschild's family homes. Much excellent restoration work recently completed make this a place we must visit.

Finally, I will take you for a brief stroll through some of the ancient streets of Oxford to capture the atmosphere of England’s first and finest University.
